Capacity 4 Equity & Success (C4ES)

Capacity 4 Equity & Success (C4ES)

The Capacity 4 Equity & Success Program (C4ES) is a product of the partnership between Supervisor Keith Carson, The County of Alameda and Exceptional Community Connections, LLC. This initiative first launched in 2022, with the intention to help provide organizations in the West Oakland area with the resources needed to grow within their communities.

The goal for the C4ES project is to increase the capacity of small and emerging non-profit organizations to successfully apply for and secure public and private grant funds.

What is C4ES?

Since launching in June 2022, we now have 2 cohorts of over 30 non-profit leaders and service providers in the West Oakland community.

All cohort participants receive:

  • A comprehensive professional development series called "Power Up". These capacity-building sessions include topics such as: Non-Profit Formation/Compliance; Budget Development; Program Design; and Fund Development/Grant Solicitation.

  • One-on-one coaching on the implementation of their organizational enhancement plans.

  • So much more!!
